Description
Ultimate Altitude strain is a Pure Landrace Swiss Arable Unreleased Strain we found in the Swiss Alps in 1992. She is from the most extreme arable zone (1500 meters above sea level) which is the last altitude for marijuana plant growth. It’s just below the névé zone, which has the coldest climate and is permanently coated with compressed snow. How to grow weed in the mountains
Learn how to grow our Ultimate Altitude Strain in the worst outdoor enviroments! She loves to be harvested on the mountians edge covered in snow.Ultimate Altitude Bud
We discovered Ultimate Altitude Bud with the help of a very attractive nose pieced Swiss local lady who asked to be called ‘Swiss Cheri’ for her privacy. We met her Skiing in Zug, Switzerland. She invited some friends and me on a hike into the Swiss Alps, because I was very persistent. Not because I was looking for Marijuana, but it was because of those Ricola commercials I had seen on T.V. and I wanted to breath the fresh air and look at the plant life that seems to relieve the common cold. It was a goal of mine to complete while in Switzerland.Marijuana Beers
We had been drinking a few beers on the hike that afternoon, and I went off the path and relieved myself on a short green plant with thick leaves. Then I smelled the aroma, not my pee, but to my amazement I was pissing on a small Marijuana Plant! I wouldn’t recognize it’s thick Indica leaves without it’s pungent cannabis smell. Marijuana just never looked like that back home.Smoking a Cola Like a Champ
Lucky for me I travel after Labor Day but before Christmas when flights are less expensive to Europe, so the patch I came across was ripe and ready to harvest. I didn’t take pull entire plant, but I pulled off a few large cola’s from the best looking plants in the patch and ran back to the trail to share my findings. It was too damp to breakup and roll, so I took out my trusty Zippo, lit it, and help up a cola above its flame with some friends holding up their jackets to block the wind. We all inhaled straight from the cola, and the hiking ended for a couple hours due to the intense body stone. We also ate all our snacks including the best tasting local chocolate we had in our daypacks.Smoking Weed Outside is Best
It was a wonderful body stone that took your mind on an adventure with waves of great conversations, and other waves of complete silence, and I think this strain is best smoked outdoors eating chocolate because it just seems to mix well with the fresh outdoor oxygen, caffeine/sugar (from the chocolate) and your creative brain cells.Always Take the Seeds Out of Your Stash
After getting back to the lodge, we hung the remaining Ultimate Altitude Strain cola’s near the fireplace. We did this while roasting Italian Chestnuts over the fire. A couple days later, the Ultimate Altitude bud had dried enough to break apart by hand. I separated the seeds and brought a Handful back home to BC. The next year in spring, I gave them all to my good friend. Alaskan Dave, who kept a small untouched patch alive since 1993. They grew in the Alaskan Range of Mount McKinley, at an altitude of 1300 meters. I had lost Contact with Alaskan Dave until this last harvest. He told me the patch is still growing strong and he sent me seeds from the best two plants in his garden.Alaskan Gems
Back in late summer 2009, I had also got a message at My Space by none other than Swiss Cheri. It had been 16 years! I told her Dave still had the patch going in Alaska. She said she was going back for a hike in that area in a few weeks. So I told her to make sure she went a bit later to make sure the seeds were ripe and were ready for picking. She sent me the seeds, and we did a test, Alaskan Dave’s Version VS. Swiss Cheri’s Version.Large Cannabis Yields from the Mountains
There must be something about the Swiss Ultimate Altitude Strain. Because Swiss Cheri’s yield was 30% heavier, and the stone was much more potent. I don’t understand why, because the genetics are from the same place. But the THC levels remained higher in their natural environment. So a ‘no brainer’ we released the Swiss Landrace to you.
