BC1-K2 strain is the best mountain weed we have ever bred and it has a very interesting history. K2 is more dangerous to climb than Everest, and it’s impossible without the support of indigenous porters, at least until you reach the Base Camp 1, and this is place I bonded over this fine strain with a porter named Mohammed.

Mohammed is a local based in Skardu, who has a very peaceful demeanor and is extremely hard working. He truly is a native mountain man; you can see how comfortable he is, even in the harshest environments of a K2 accent. He told me that you don’t want to smoke this potent pot when climbing steep rock faces, but when you’re resting at base camp, it’s ideal because you’re over tired and stressed and dealing with altitude sickness. So once you know you’ll be resting for a couple days and there is no risk of an avalanche, it’s time to really get in touch with natures spiritual side. He told me his family developed this strain for many generations to help with life in the mountains dealing with altitude sickness, keeping a clear mind and communicating with Ala. It’s has similar effects as chewing coca leaves in South America, alleviating altitude headaches and tiredness.

Base Camp 1 Mountain Weed Views Are Astonishing

The views from Base Camp 1 are outstanding, and absorbing expreience with Mohammed while high and in tune with the mountains and the heavens is the most unforgettable experience I have ever enjoyed. Sadly, and I must say while we were completely sober, Mohammed and the rest of us witnessed an Italian skier fall, hitting some rocks and afterwards laying motionless facedown into the snow about 600 meters away. Mohammed was brave and dashed off to rescue the skier in case he was unconscious and suffocating to death. Because Mohammed didn’t have time to tie off, he raced to him without using any safety precautions, and unfortunately lost his footing and fell 46 meters into the rocks. It took me a while to reach him, he was still breathing but close to his last breath with sever head and body wounds from his fall. He passed me his make shift tin foil wrapped pot with seeds and asked me to preserve its genetics unaltered, I quickly agreed as Mohammed’s soul floated up, out from his body.

I had a lot of work to do, not only did I want to complete my climb and summit; I had to preserve this amazing strain, but most importantly, unaltered. That meant I couldn’t grow this strain indoors or even back in British Columbia outdoors. They must remain unaltered and grown outdoors locally near Skardu. It took some seven years and 11 flights with the help of translators, but we found another father son team to continue on the gene pool of this amazing strain. I personally oversaw the breeding and passed down my knowledge so they could produce rare genetics for you, which meet our company’s strictest parameters.

BC1-K2 Is A Short Flowering Plant

BC1-K2 is a short flowering plant that can withstands winds of over 120 KM/Hour. This is the toughest outdoor strain I have ever worked with and it’s a great strain to use with crossing exotic sativa strains. We will be releasing some new crossed strains shortly. But for now you can enjoy a very fast flowering unaltered landrace strain from Skardu. Flowering is just 5 weeks in cold climates like Alaska and Northern Ontario. Grow them up in California and she’ll take 6 week to fully bloom. Her mountain weed leaves are dark green, fat and thick and her trichomes pool near the stem avoiding her leaf tips. The trichomes form massive golf ball sized chunks of gooey goodness on her internodes that can’t blow away in high winds.
