HOW DOES CBD OIL WORK ON THE SKIN

CBD oil, also known as cannabidiol, is extracted from the hemp plant and contains a variety of healing characteristics that benefit the skin. Cannabinoids are highly regarded for their pain-relieving and stress-relieving properties. CBD, unlike marijuana, cannabis, and THC, has yet to be proven to have any intoxicating or psychotropic characteristics. CBD oil can now be found in a wide variety of cosmetics. We’ll explain how CBD works and help the skin.

WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is a cannabinoid called cannabidiol. Just like THC, this active ingredient is found in the hemp plant. However, no psychoactive effects are known for cannabidiol. The plants are commercial or industrial hemp approved in the EU. This only contains a very small amount of THC. The flowers and leaves of the female hemp plant are used to obtain CBD extract. Since the highest proportion of cannabinoids is in the buds or in the resin on the chronic bud, the flowers are mainly used to produce CBD oil.

In addition to CBD oil, terms such as hemp oil or hemp seed oil often appear. As the name suggests, this is the oil from the seeds of the hemp plant. Mostly, hemp oil is enriched with CBD, from which the CBD oil is made. Hemp seed oil, on the other hand, is suitable as an edible oil, among other things.

HOW IS CBD OIL MADE?

There are several methods to extract the CBD extract from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant. With the following four extraction processes, CBD can be obtained from plants, among others:

  • Extraction with different oils: In the oil extraction process, the flowers are dissolved in an edible vegetable oil such as olive oil, hemp seed oil or coconut oil. The cannabinoids are released from the flowers by gentle heating and you get a finished CBD oil.
  • Solvent extraction: The CBD extract is removed from the plant material using solvents such as alcohol or ethanol. To do this, the plant material is left to soak in the agent. The flowers / leaves are then removed and the solvent evaporated by heating. The extract obtained can then be mixed with a vegetable oil to form CBD oil.
  • CO2 extraction: With the help of a complex, technical process and an extraction machine, thanks to CO2 extraction, it is possible to obtain the highest quality CBD extract. The CO2 acts as a solvent here.
  • Dry Ice Extraction: This process uses dry ice, which freezes the resin on the flowers. This can then be easily shaken off the plant and you get a resinous, CBD-containing powder.

WHAT DOES CBD OIL DO?

Depending on the extraction process, CBD oil dissolved in hemp seed oil contains many active ingredients that have a positive effect on the skin and body. In addition to relaxing, pain-relieving, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, it also contains unsaturated fatty acids such as Omega 3 and Omega 6. CBD oil is suitable for external use on the skin and also for oral ingestion or as a dietary supplement. The modes of action and experiences with CBD oil are therefore different depending on the type of application and are aimed at different needs.

HOW DOES CBD OIL WORK ON THE SKIN?

CBD oil comes in a number of concentrations, as a full spectrum oil, and in a variety of formulations like serums, drops, and creams. CBD oil helps the skin’s natural healing process and is especially beneficial for acne-prone skin, rosacea, and sensitive regions. CBD hemp oil calms the nerves, relieves pain, and moisturizes the skin. It’s good for all skin types, but it’s especially good for dry, irritated skin. The oil also protects the skin from free radicals and accelerated aging due to its antioxidant properties. It also works as an anti-aging treatment for wrinkles and fine lines.

HOW DOES CBD OIL WORK ON BODY and MIND?

CBD, unlike THC, has yet to be proven to have any psychotropic properties. As a result, it does not make you “high” and can be used responsibly, safely, and lawfully. CBD oil has a lot of advantages when it comes to physical wellness. Osteoarthritis and arthritis, for example, can be improved by using the oil. It is also utilized for restlessness, psychological problems, and sleep disorders due to its relaxing impact. It also helps with issues like nausea. Droplets inserted under the tongue or capsules can be used to administer it.

Mr. BC Seeds is an over educated old school hippy who has been involved in the cannabis industry since the 1970's. He is one of the most experienced marijuana breeders in Canada if not the entire world. He was the first to use the most advanced breeding techniques in 2008 to create 42 of the world's strongest cannabis strains. He has been writing in-depth articles about cannabis in Canada for decades and looks forward to continue bringing you cutting edge cannabis strains for the decades to come. Mr. BC Seeds uses a "pen name" because he still travels the world collecting cannabis strains and continues researching cannabis in laboratories of non-legalized countries.
