Canadian Seed Vault

Canadian Seed Vault for heirloom cannabis seeds. Preserving the world’s greatest marijuana genetics for generations to come. As the owner of BC Seeds and a Seed Vault here in Canada, I am proud to announce that we are now preserving heirloom cannabis seeds for future generations. Our seed vault is secure and technologically advanced, providing the ideal conditions for long-term seed storage.

Need to preserve cannabis seeds

Why preserving cannabis seeds is important. Cannabis is a valuable crop with a rich history, and preserving its genetics is crucial for ensuring that future generations have access to the same high-quality strains we have today. Heirloom cannabis seeds are particularly important, as they are the result of generations of careful breeding and selection. These seeds represent the unique genetic makeup of a particular strain, and preserving them ensures that the strain’s unique characteristics will be passed down for generations to come.

In case of calamities

How my Canadian Seed Vault can protect cannabis genetics from catastrophes. My seed vault is designed to protect cannabis genetics from a wide range of catastrophes, including nuclear war, asteroids, comets, floods, global warming, and war. The vault is located deep within a mountain above the North Pole in Canada. It provides natural protection from extreme temperatures and other environmental hazards. In addition, the vault is equipped with state-of-the-art security systems and backup generators to ensure that the seeds remain safe and viable in the event of a power failure.

The perfect temperature

The seed vault is maintained at a constant temperature of minus 18 degrees Celsius. This low temperature slows down the metabolic processes of the seeds, effectively putting them into a state of suspended animation. This allows the seeds to remain viable for long periods of time, even up to several hundred years. The low humidity levels in the vault also help to prevent seed deterioration.

Costs

The cost of depositing your heirloom cannabis seeds into Canadian Seed Vault is minimal. We charge a one-time fee of $100 per seed pack, which covers the costs of packaging, transportation, and storage. This fee ensures that your seeds will be safe and secure for generations to come. Please note you need to deposit a minimum of two packs per strain.

Sending in your seeds

To send in your heirloom cannabis seeds, simply contact us for the necessary forms and instructions. We accept duplicate seed packs, and we strongly encourage depositors to send in multiple copies of their seeds to ensure the preservation of their genetics.

Ownership of the seeds

Once your seeds have been deposited into the vault, they become the property of the BC Seeds. However, depositors retain the rights to open the seed packs and use the seeds for research or cultivation.

Cannabis breeders and small growers

The Canadian Seed Vault is open to cannabis breeders and small growers alike. Whether you are a professional breeder with a large collection of heirloom cannabis seeds or a small grower with just a few special strains, we encourage you to consider depositing your seeds into the vault for preservation.

Mr. BC Seeds

Mr. BC Seeds is an over educated old school hippy who has been involved in the cannabis industry since the 1970's. He is one of the most experienced marijuana breeders in Canada if not the entire world. He was the first to use the most advanced breeding techniques in 2008 to create 42 of the world's strongest cannabis strains. He has been writing in-depth articles about cannabis in Canada for decades and looks forward to continue bringing you cutting edge cannabis strains for the decades to come. Mr. BC Seeds uses a "pen name" because he still travels the world collecting cannabis strains and continues researching cannabis in laboratories of non-legalized countries.
