6 Ways to Grow Strong Cannabis and Escalate Yield

Growing cannabis has a lot of awesome benefits, which makes is a much better choice than buying cannabis. It is a lovely endeavor that will help you ensure you never run out of cannabis and instead of spending money to buy cannabis, you will get to make money selling from your stash.

Growing cannabis is not a difficult endeavor (anyone can do it) and it does not cost a lot of money, but it requires good management and good technique.

In other words, you have to keep some principles in mind if you want to grow the best cannabis.

Here are six ways to grow strong cannabis and escalate yield:

1. Select strong, profit yielding seeds.

This the first point because it is the most important point. The growth and yield of any cultivated plant is largely determined by the type of seed that is planted. It is important that you pay attention to the genetics of the strain you want to grow. Choosing strong, profit yielding seeds is a very big step that will greatly contribute to good growth, great yield and high-quality cannabis.

2. Trellising

Trellising is a basic gardening technique that involves the use of wooden structures to aid and guide the growth of plants. Trellising is important for a plant like cannabis that can sometimes lack the strength to support itself. Trellising is a way of helping your cannabis grow. Your cannabis plant will thank you for it by flourishing and with a very good yield.

3. Plant training

You can make your plant grow exactly the way you want it to grow by training it. Training your cannabis is necessary if you don’t want its development to be hindered by uneven growth. Using strings, spread out the main stem and side branches to make your plant grow outwards into a thick bush.

4. Increase container size

Plants like to have a lot of space around them to spread their branches and leaves. Therefore, it is important that you grow your cannabis in containers that will give them enough room to grow the way they should.

5. Nutrition

Cannabis need the right nutrition as every stage of growth. Your fertilizer must have the right balance of nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus. When your cannabis is flowering, it needs high potassium, medium phosphorus and low nitrogen. Also, you shouldn’t forget that cannabis needs a lot of water.

6. Don’t harvest too soon

The flowering stage is the stage that cannabis farmers look forward to. It is the stage at which you see the result of your months of hard work; therefore, you will be tempted to harvest the flowers as soon as you see them. You can harvest the flowers any time after 2 – 3 weeks of flowering; however, you can increase your yield if you wait for a week or two longer. Waiting for a week or two after the 2- 3 weeks window can increase the size of buds by twenty five percent.

Mr. BC Seeds

Mr. BC Seeds is an over educated old school hippy who has been involved in the cannabis industry since the 1970's. He is one of the most experienced marijuana breeders in Canada if not the entire world. He was the first to use the most advanced breeding techniques in 2008 to create 42 of the world's strongest cannabis strains. He has been writing in-depth articles about cannabis in Canada for decades and looks forward to continue bringing you cutting edge cannabis strains for the decades to come. Mr. BC Seeds uses a "pen name" because he still travels the world collecting cannabis strains and continues researching cannabis in laboratories of non-legalized countries.
