Gaijin Ganja is our latest find. We were not really on Vacation this summer, we were travelling to the most remote places seeking the best Asian marijuana genetics. Since we had so much luck with our prized Korean Skunk, we knew some Japanese Breeder would have created a really nice treat. After meeting with some nice Tokyo breeder's and trying their best, we were not very impressed with the taste, potency or high. I will admin the Tokyo breeders had the most advanced grow room's i had ever come across. Every light ray and fertilizer drip was controlled by their PC. But the geentics they were growing were basically a Thai Ditch weed. I couldn't understand why they were growing such a large bushy and tall plant when space is of the essence in Tokyo. 3 Plants took up 40% of their apartment. The Japanese people are full of pride, and I had never seen any plant taken care of so well, but the quality was just not up to par for our customers. So it was off to Osaka to meet Breeder Oki. We had met some pot friendly Americans who told us to find Gaijin Ganja. Gaijin is Japanese for "Foriegner". It was created for for Western Tourists and businessmen in Japan that were used to smoking potent weed. When it comes to breeding marijuana, Japan is in the stone age compared to British Columbia. But breeder Oki was well advanced and had been stabilizing Gaijin Ganja for 8 years now.  The first four years he was breeding this strain with inferior parents from a native Indica from the Hokuriku Region. It still produced a fine plant, but it took him 4 years of poor parent selection to figuire out he had to start over using only the best native parents, so back the Mount Haku he went, and he lived there for over 3 years in the mountains in a hut he built himself, with one mission: create the finest Japanese Marijuana.

"I had to live there" Oki says: "I couldn't just select genetics based on what they looked like at harvest. I had to be there, watching each individual wild plant and documenting it's characteristics during every stage growth. I wanted to find a plant that germinated quickly, and grew rapidly, but not just in optimal conditions. I found vigerous germinating plants that did not end up with best yield or THC levels. But the plants that had vigerous germination in hot drought like climates finished the best, with the most yield, THC and pest resistance. To work with the best genetics, you need to have lot's of data, and that's why I created such a wonderful plant. I also have a proven system for selecting the best male parent, which is slightly more important than selecting the mother you know, but this information I give you, you cannot share with anyone else."
